<\/p>\r\nThe Young Academy of Norway is seeking new members! Would you like to join us?<\/strong> Would you like to become a member of the Young Academy of Norway?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n The Young Academy of Norway (AYF) is a diverse, interdisciplinary, and cross-sector meeting place and science policy platform for early-career researchers, established in 2015. It is also a driving force for innovative science communication, an attractive arena for academic debate, and a significant and visible actor in research policy issues.<\/p>\r\n Currently, the Academy has 43 members. In October, 11 members will step down. In this year\u2019s intake, we will welcome up to 10 new members, as well as 2\u20133 members working abroad who are affiliated with a Norwegian research environment (cf. AYF statutes \u00a72.2<\/a>).<\/p>\r\n Who are we looking for?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n We are seeking early-career researchers who can demonstrate significant and independent scientific or artistic work, and who have distinguished themselves actively and professionally within their field. AYF aims to recruit members from across the country, from various disciplines and institutions.<\/p>\r\n You must be interested in and able to actively participate in the Academy\u2019s work. The working language of AYF is Norwegian, and it is desirable that new members can understand both spoken and written Norwegian.<\/p>\r\n We offer:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n About the application process<\/strong><\/p>\r\n To be admitted as a member, you must not turn more than 40 years old in the calendar year of admission. Age deductions due to parental leave, military service, and sick leave follow the guidelines of the Research Council of Norway, provided relevant documentation is submitted.<\/p>\r\n Membership lasts for four years and is granted based on an application followed by an interview, which will take place on\u00a0 September 7th<\/strong>. After completing your membership, you become part of our alumni association.<\/p>\r\n Membership and admission are regulated by \u00a73 of our statutes.<\/a><\/p>\r\n How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\r\n The application has three steps: <\/span><\/p>\r\n The application you submit by e-mail must be a maximum of one (1) page and include a brief description of your research, why you wish to be part of the Young Academy of Norway, and what you would contribute.<\/p>\r\n The CV must include your date of birth and information about any leaves of absence.
