New Mini-series: A week in the life of young researchers in Norway
Exciting news! We are launching a brand new mini-series called “A week in the life of young researchers in Norway”
The series consists of five short films about a week in the life of young researchers in Norway. Directed and animated by Jørgen Hansen and written and produced by Siddharth Sareen for the Young Academy of Norway, these five films traverse a number of issues related to academic life and work in Norway. The five films address work-life balance, recruitment practices, diversity, language use and collaborative relationships, featuring interviews with researchers ensconced in an animated storytelling format. The Young Academy of Norway is the proud sponsor and owner of the movies and we acknowledge all those who contributed to the series.

Monday: Work-life balance
The short film series opens with Monday and brings up multiple aspects of work-life balance in the everyday life of researchers in Norway. Here you may also see interviews with YAN-member: Alexander Sandtorv (UiO) and YAN-alumni Solfrid Bratland-Sanda.
Tuesday – Recruitment
The short film series continues with Tuesday and reflects on recruitment practices at Norwegian academic institutions. Here you may also see interviews with YAN-members: Marte Cecilie Wilhelmsen Solheim (UiS) and Åsmund Eikenes
Wednesday – Diversity
The short film series continues with Wednesday and brings into focus a variety of concerns related to diversity in Norwegian academia. Here you may also see interviews with Moumita Senand YAN-member Kjersti Lohne
Thursday – Language
The short film series continues with Thursday where we turn attention to practices of language use within academia in Norway. Here you may also see interviews with YAN-members: Pierre Lison and Malgorzata Cyndecka
Friday – Collaborative relationships
